Jacobs Agro LLC is a company producing culturally relevant foods for African and Caribbean people living in the USA.
It addresses a gap in the organic food market as a conscious response in farming that exists. This response also tackles a growing trend of people leaning towards locally produced food and a healthier eating.
All our crops are grown without chemicals or fertilizers with careful attention paid to soil health and the environment.
Jacobs Agro produces a variety of vegetables including tomato, kale, okro, eggplant, swiss chard, collard greens, onion, garlic, beets, radish and potato to name a few. We are also developing a line of spices, pickles and jams made from our produce.
The company has a long history of farming, as it dates to 1929 as a family owned farm originating in British Guiana producing Sugar Cane and rice. It subsequently transitioned to other crops and agro processing.
We work primarily with food banks and hunger relief organisations in the USA. 80% of our produce go to these organisations.
Jacobs Agro is registered in Guyana, USA, South Africa and Burkina Faso.
